The legendary Bruce Lee once said: “Don’t speak negatively about yourself, even as a joke. Your body doesn’t know the difference. Words are energy and cast spells—that’s why it’s called spelling.” What you are not changing, you are choosing. Meet Your Brain’s Filter: The RAS
Have you ever heard of the Reticular Activating System (RAS)? This is the part of your brain that acts as a filter for the millions of data points around you.
Think about when you decide you want a specific new car. Suddenly, you see that exact car everywhere. They were always there, but your RAS is now filtering them into your conscious awareness because you are focused on them. This works for your health, too! If you focus on "dis-ease," you’ll find it. If you focus on vitality, your brain will start seeking out the opportunities to create it.
